Yo, I've got some more goodies for all you funky folks out there!  

So today... I was just slappin' around ya know... dealin' with all the dastardly deeds that only one's daily money making scheme can produce. (really this has nothing to do with what I have to share today... IMMA SKIP DA BULLSHIT!) So I got home from said money making scheme and found myself falling into the wonders of a pillow world in ma BED! OOOOOOooooo how glorious it was too, while in this state of semi-consciousness I opened my computer and flipped da switch (which is actually a button) and logged on to the sound machine to play all da sweetest nap-attack joints! (OH CONTRARY to the title) In my search for a classic, by my standards, named DJ Tran-Bert, I realized that I had an album by someone completely different that I had not yet had the pleasure of enjoying. "What possibly could this be Slappy?" you say! Well good people of the music world, Art the Beatdoctor was the artists name, with the album dubbed 'Transitions'.
To make this rather dull story short... MA NAP WAS SUPREME! So I recommend you check out the album.

UNDON3 in the hizzie first post for me and what better way for me to start then posting something fantastic other wise known as BLAPPY BLAP STAR this is what we should all aspire to be, you know you wanna be dip fucking wet.

Aight, sooooooo this is what I got for you today:

First off, I've got a producer from Germany who calls himself Quiet. He's been layin' down some beats since 2005, but mainly been dropin records for the past 2 years. Style wise, every thing's pretty chill and low key, loadin' us up with a solid beat core with a taste of jazz deriving from his skilllzzzz as an excellent Jazz pianist. Personally, one of my top 10s for the moment, "just can't get enough of that sly bootay jammin vibe!"

As a side note -> I've gotta thank Strictly Beats for first posting Quiet up and sending me on a mass hunt for every album I could find... little did I know they were all right there through his myspace...

Second, I've got this craving fo ADVENTCHA! (Adventure! ... just in case) and there really is no better music to send you out strutin' yo shiat up then master Clutchy Hopkins himself. Fresh and unexpected, Clutchy Hopkins is joining forces with many other outstanding underground artists to bring back the best in music and more specifically Hip-Hop. I'd love to explain to you the extreme sound that Clutchy brings to the table, but it just wouldn't do him justice. What I can tell you though, is that Clutchy does everything, records, mixes, every sound comes from the mind and skillz of the good man himself. An interesting tale can be told about Clutchy and his mysterious past. Something about some traveling and learning the great arts of music from all different cultures, some interesting stuff I swearz. Obviously I'm summing up the whole thing in a poorly structured fashion, but if you're interested, just check out his site. Some say it's phony-bologna, but really... the story and life of Mr. Hopkins, it's up to you to decide how much validity it has. Personally, I feel like it adds to the persona of the musician and music so why give it a second guess, ya digg!!!???!!!

This is all so new and exciting so I'll begin by introducing myself and welcoming you to this magical unicorn blog (that will most likely not have anything to do with unicorns ever).


I'm M a r i n a, hey-- the one with the unoriginal name amongst the creative geniuses to your left. I'ma be talkin' to you about fun things like photography and movies and books and keeping you up to date on that various stuff and suggestions on things to check out and look at. ALSO, just like all the fiiiiiiine contributors, I do my own stuff so you will have the INTENSE MAGICAL PLEASURE of experiencing that as well. That's what I'm about yo: INTENSE MAGICAL PLEASURE. I'm also all about grapefruits and climbing trees and making magic through images and words and colour.

Walking down my street, minding my own business, when a unicorn steps out from a bush and drop-kicks me and burns me with its lazer beam eyes! i fly backwards and brace myself for the impact of the concrete, but the sidewalk is a hologram and i fall through. falling, falling, falling into a surreal nightmare where strange monsters hide in the shadows of geometric landscapes.

Hey gang, my name is Benjammin. *handshake* DJ-Benjammin is my mysterious impostor who does posts about music. I will share some artwork with you now.

This is just a few of my very favourite covers from the Italian science-fiction magazine "Urania." Urania has been around since 1952, and is the longest running Italian magazine. It is also the only Italian magazine. haha just kidding, i don't even know. It features short stories and novels which i couldn't care less about (this might be because i can't read Italian)(I'm sure it's shitty anyway). The cover illustrations on the other hand, explode my mind. Do you see the horses in the rocket cover? btw, these ones are only from 1962-1966. I'll post more at a later date.

Skai Studios is a group of individuals who have come together in the attempt to spread & share artistic interests in the hopes to discover commonality in all disciplines and styles of art. We will be posting up things that we have created, everything from music to photography, film to doodles, fiction to mixes, etc. ultimately in the attempt to piece together the links between each form, in hopes of better understanding the artistic creative process. Along with our originals, we will be posting links and downloads of things from around the net, stuff that we found interesting and worth sharing in hopes for you to discover your own destined masterpieces and have them inspire you like they have inspired us.
