BONEZ! ~ Josh Furey- Archaeology

The ambience of this whole album is terrifying, but utterly beautiful at the same time. For another reason, I get this crazy classic espionage feel at points, with that sly James Bond class. Archaeology is a Time Journey! Some Solid Trip-Hop, a taste of Massive Attack meets AIR, but completely it's own. Amazing samples and a fantastic mind-scape vibe. Living in Canada, Josh Furey co-manages Nocturne Records.

CHRIST WAZZZ HERRRR

Some simple mix I made when all other activities seemed unable to keep me occupied. I like to think it has a slightly more Holiday Vacation feel, with an almost high paced tropical sensation and slowly progressing into a more quiet sparkling hearth side style by the end. It was in the attempt to throw together some older, perhaps more recognizable Jazz and Pop/Alternative tunes with some contemporary Hip-Hop/Jazz-Fusion stuff I've found and enjoi!ed over the past couple months! Hope you enjoy it! Happy Holidays to Ervrrrybuddy!

P.S. The track says that the artist is Mo(dio) Sensei, that is WRONG, correct yo' business with the name Iaks Soiduts.

As for my excuse: I just don't have the time to re-upload the track so suck it up snukas!

Surkin

For a long time I had only this song and nothing else by Surkin, but I was an idiot to put off meticulous research of every one of his releases because THEY ARE ALL AMAZING. I should really start finding a better word to describe pure awesomeness, but just listen to all of this music and you'll understand. *Especially listen to Chrome Knight featuring Chromeo for the only electro song that I've ever heard improved with lyrics.

1. Easy Action
2. Silver Island
3. Fan Out

Surkin - Next Of Kin, Mark II (2009)

Aphex Twin

I think that I'm probably going to make a few of these, outlining all of the amazing work that Aphex Twin has done, but the first few things I'm going to post are THE BEST THINGS THAT HE HAS EVER DONE, so be sure to download them and cherish them instead of just listening to videos I will post, although you'd be safer doing both just to be sure you're getting the full effect...

BLOGGIN TIME!!!!!!!!!!

So I've tried countless times to upload a mix to soundcloud.com, and it takes much too long. And most of the time it quits halfway through and pretends that the progress is 100% when it is actually none percent. I'm tired of this.

I think we can all agree that Phoenix is probably the best french band ever and definitely the greatest band in the world. I mean, top ten at least, definitely. Their new album has brought them well-deserved success in North America also known as where I live. NOT IGNORING the two or arguably three ingenious albums that preceded it. Once again I find myself in the position of the angry purist who didn't tell enough people that he liked that band before they got cool.

What I'm really trying to say without being too pretentious is that you should listen to this classic single release by this subculture pop phenomenon that I knew about before you did but it's ok because I'm charitable.

Phoenix - Long Distance Call (2006)
1. Long Distance Call
2. Rally
3. Long Distance Call (Sébastien Tellier Remix)
4. Long Distance Call (25 Hours A Day Remix)
